5 Pin Cut-Away -Schlage Spool Pins-RH

The popular Yale, Schlage and Kwikset deadbolts, found at major hardware stores, have been upgraded in recent years to provide greater security. Instead of standard top pins, all 5 stations feature spool drivers, which create a cylinder that's resistant to picking. We offer these 5 pinned cutaway practice cylinders with spool driver pins to give locksmith students a greater challenge when learning how to pick locks, and to provide helpful educational tools. These types of pick resistant locks are being used more frequently. Future workers in the locksmith industry will come across these locks with greater regularity and will need to have the necessary skills to be able to work with them.

Please note: There is no horizontal slot to expose the shear line, as doing so would allow the spool pins to hang up more frequently than would be the case out in the field.
