Kwikset-Schlage-Weiser-Weslock Key Decoder

Good for knocking out a key on the old Ilco by hand, or impressioning keys for keyless entry.

Kwikset, Schlage Weslock & Weiser covers about every residential lock in my neighborhood. I have the old kickout plate doors on my radio room now, so I put a newer used Kwikset with the security pins, then promptly lost the only key I had, so I used this to wing it with the key cutting machine. I have 4 keys and a working lock, again. I put expanded metal over the glass, and bars across the fire kick on that old door. I should replace the old door, but it's an antique. The door is also alarmed & the room has CCTV cameras in it. Why ruin a perfectly good lock when you really don't need to??? No key, no problem. MAKE ONE! I travel the Navajo Nation and picked up a very nice Ilco key duplicator for dirt cheap way back off the main roads up on the rez. $100!! and she works like a champ! I have a 25 amp inverter in the truck so running from the truck's battery is no big deal at all. I even made some keys for the old 1950s Weiser locks on the other storage room doors. Groovy gravy, and easy money. These make impressioning super easy. One you impression a good working key, by hand or by machine, its nothing to make duplicates. This tells me exactly where to file or grind down to, before I try it again, saving loads of time and grief.
