Once you've mastered the 7 pin tubular lock, it's time to take it one step further. Our 8 Pin Tubular Practice Lock will give you an even greater level of complexity so you can finely hone your expert skills. A tubular lock (also known as an Ace lock) is just a pin tumbler lock that has the tumblers arranged in a circular pattern. It can be a tricky lock to pick, but it's not impossible. This 8 pin version is more complex than the 7 pin, but it's a good practice cylinder to work on before you attempt the more precise Ace-II. Our practice locks are made with lower tolerances than ordinary tubular locks, which make them recommended for those who are still developing their lock picking skills.
